Accessibility Statement

This is an accessibility statement from National Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees with Disabilities (NCFAED).


Measures to support accessibility

NCFAED implements the following measures to ensure accessibility of the NCFAED website:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies, standards and guidelines for Section 508 and accessibility

  • Collaborate internally, and externally, on best practices and lessons learned about Section 508

  • Include Section 508 and accessibility information and resources on the NCFAED website

  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities

  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods

  • Collect bi-annual data of Section 508 metrics

  • Respond to federal accessibility mandates on behalf of NCFAED

Conformance status

NCFAED has an obligation to its members to provide the same (or comparable) access to, and use of, information and services from NCFAED sought by each and every individual. As an employee organization, we believe everyone is accountable and responsible for accessibility conformance.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. NCFAED is partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
